This automatic version of the Steel Navigator is a return to the world’s original pilot’s watches – calling back to the pre-1980s era when most issued wristwatches were hand-wound or automatic. This model also exhibits a date complication at the 4:30 position.



The SSNAV-D Auto is built from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel with a screw-down crown and synthetic sapphire crystal, making it operational even when submerged to 10ATM (100m/300ft). The case design features enhanced lug tapering, providing a comfortable fit and making the SSNAV-D Auto ideal for all-day wear. The increased height of the 12HR GMT bezel is specially designed to provide improved grip, allowing pilots to easily handle the bi-directional rotation while wearing flight gloves. The bezel also features inset-painted indices, enhancing the legibility of the markings.

The Marathon Pilot’s Navigator was developed in partnership with Kelly Air Force Base in 1986. The objective then remains today: a pilot’s watch with uncompromising quartz accuracy—capable of withstanding extreme altitude changes.

The case of the newly-issued 41mm NAV-D is constructed with CeraShell®—Marathon’s proprietary case construction made up of bio-sourced plastic and ceramic powder, with an aluminum bezel.

The CeraShell version of the Navigator has been enhanced with:

• Removable spring bars
• Radial mounted tritium tube insert, affixed into the bezel pip (improved visibility and protection)

Included with the watch is our 3-Piece Rubber Strap Kit, also manufactured in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Our strap kit is crafted from FKM Rubber and is designed to meet the requirements of high-performance military applications. The 3-Piece Kit comes with one (6 o'clock) tail piece with 8 adjustment holes, and two (12 o'clock) buckle pieces of different sizing that allow the wearer to tailor the length to fit their wrist size.

Since 1941, the Jeep brand and Marathon have shared a mutual history of authentic military supply, manufacturing some of the most reliable tools on the market for use by Allied forces. This tradition is commemorated with the Jeep x Marathon Series.

The 41mm Jeep® Willys SSGPM takes inspiration from both Jeep and the original Marathon field watch issued in 1941, developed for use by infantry and officers during ground operations. This Swiss-made field watch further harkens the past with a hand-wind 18 jewel SW210-1 mechanical movement.

The 41mm Jeep® Willys SSGPM features a modernized treatment of the original Marathon WWII-issued dial. In this new iteration, the classic dial has received updates such as type treatments inspired by the Jeep Wrangler 1941 Limited Edition, a fresh black dial, and fully-lumed Aged-Radium colour numerals.

The model boasts a 316L steel case with a parkerized finish, reducing reflectivity and increasing corrosion resistance. The 41mm SSGPM is driven by an 18-jewel Swiss-made Sellita SW210-1 hand-wound mechanical movement. Enhanced visibility in low-light conditions is guaranteed by MaraGlo illumination on the hour hand, minute hand and the Arabic hour numerals.

Each watch comes paired with a new 3-Piece Leather Strap Kit made from Crazy Horse leather.
